Today I did a true budget. Estimated all of my expenses out to a yearly amount and when I added up my fixed expenses alone without any pocket money, entertainment, or clothing, at the end of the year I should have $372. Yes, less than $400 a year for 3 people! No wonder I always feel broke. But things are going to change starting now. Some expenses are out of my control but I definitely see room in here to make some changes.

I am the Broke Blogger
Welcome to my journey to having a life when you don’t have much income.
I’m a single Mom of 2 kids. I work full time but my income still isn’t enough to have a life. Bills are getting paid close to timely but there is just nothing left for fun. So, I am on a quest to lower expenses, find some additional income, and hopefully increase the quality of our lives. I realize that so many people are worse off than we are, with unemployment in the double digits, I know financial distress can happen to anyone. It isn’t all about having fun for me, right now is time to get prepared. It is always better to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
First things first….time for a reality check!
